The Bourbon Apple

Ingredients
2 oz Xplorer bourbon
1 oz Xplorer apple pie liqueur
1 oz ginger syrup*
1 oz lemon juice
A few cracks of black pepper
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a shaker.
Shake.
Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
*Ginger syrup (for the recipe)
Add 2 oz ginger, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup water to a bowl.
Let it simmer over a stove for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool, then strain.
